Opening URL of Topic that is currently hidden causes unexpected effect
Test environment
OS: Windows 7 Pro
Chrome Version 78.0.3904.97
DMX: dev.dmx.system (as by today)
What did I observe
Consider the following clickflow:
- Open dev.dmx.systems
- login as admin
- In Workspace DMX, Topicmap default create three notes (N1, N2, N3)
- Create a Person "John Dough" and associate it with all three notes
- view "Details" for N3
- Copy that URL somewhere (say into a wiki, from which you want to refer to DMX) - it would look something like this: https://dev.dmx.systems/systems.dmx.webclient/#/topicmap/1688/topic/4033/info
- Now hide Topic N3
- Pan the Topicmap somewhere so the last known position of N3 is not in the Topicmap viewport anymore
- Now click the link in the wiki
The Topicmap is now loaded with the detail panel for N3 opened. But:
- Topic N3 is not revealed on the map and
- The Topicmap does not pan to the position where N3 was formerly visible
Now edit N3 in the details panel (let's say add some Description Text) and save the Description.
- The edit is reflected in the detail panel
- N3 remains hidden on the topicmap
What did I expect
My expectation would have been that following the link from the wiki reveals the topic and pans the Topicmap so the topic is in the viewport even when the topic was formerly hidden by someone. Also my expectation would be that I can only edit Topics which are revealed on the Topicmap. It's to be discussed if this is common expectation.
